Manga’s Youth Mobilize for People’s Progressive Revolution

Manga: The governor of the Nazinon region, Yvette Nacoulma, officially launched the initiative called 'Revolutionary Youth on the March' (JeRM) this Thursday at the Place de la Nation in Manga, marked by a strong mobilization of young people and different social strata.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, which brought together administrative authorities, members of the citizen watch as well as a highly mobilized youth, was structured around the reading of the Prime Minister's message. This was followed by a popular cross-country race and an aerobics session, marking the sporting start of the "Sport for all" program for the year 2026.

In his address, read by the governor, the Prime Minister praised "the valiant and conscious youth" of Burkina Faso, while highlighting the scope of this initiative, which is part of the dynamic of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), proclaimed on April 1, 2025, by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.

According to the message, this revolution marks a complete and total break with the past, with the ambition of guaranteeing national sovereignty, social and cultural well-being, as well as the affirmation of the freedoms of the Burkinab¨ people. One year after its inception, the RPP has already sparked popular awareness and profound transformations at all levels of national life.

The head of government emphasized the central role of youth in the success of this revolutionary dynamic. "You are the vanguard and the lifeblood of this revolution," he affirmed, calling on young people to embrace the ideals of social justice, patriotism, integrity, and solidarity.

Representing the Regional Director of Sports, Youth and Employment of Nazinon, the Provincial Director of Sports and Recreation of Zoundweogo, Urbain Bamogo, specified that this initiative aims to encourage young people to embrace the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution. He announced that "in the coming days, talks and debates will be organized in the provinces and municipalities" in order to strengthen awareness and engagement among young people.

The Provincial Director in charge of Youth for Zoundweogo, Issoufou Tiemtore, expressed his delight at the strong mobilization of young people. According to him, the initiative's objective has been achieved, as it contributes to raising awareness and strengthening youth engagement. He believed that this dynamic, driven by the Popular Progressive Revolution, would allow the youth to "reverse imperialist tendencies" and assert themselves as a major player in national development.
