Ouargaye: A Day of Cleanliness to Promote Patriotic Commitment

Ouargaye: The High Commissioner of the province of Koulpelogo, Sadou Ouedraogo, took part this Saturday in a sanitation day organized in the premises of the High Commission of Ouargaye, in the company of members of the constituted bodies. Armed with brooms, shovels, and wheelbarrows, participants cleaned public spaces, contributing to a cleaner living environment for the population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this activity was part of the National Day of Patriotic Engagement, which aims to promote the values of civic duty, solidarity, and civic responsibility. It is the second initiative of its kind in the provincial capital, following the flag-raising ceremony. Through his active participation, the province's top official sought to set an example and reaffirm the importance of everyone's involvement in environmental preservation. He therefore invited the various department heads and all residents to follow suit by increasing their clean-up efforts in their respective departments and communities.

The High Commissioner stated that other activities are also planned as part of this patriotic initiative, including a day dedicated to the consumption of local cuisine, in order to promote national products. 'Let's consume what we produce,' he urged, calling on people to support the local economy through their eating habits.

This series of initiatives reflects the provincial authorities' commitment to strengthening patriotism and promoting civic responsibility within communities.
