Sandbondtenga: Teachers in Mane are invited to dedicate five minutes a day to explaining the message of the President of Burkina Faso. The Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Mane, Yacouba Bazongo, extended this invitation during a flag-raising ceremony presided over by the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative, outlined by CCEB Yacouba Bazongo, is designed to help students better understand and implement the presidential message. To achieve this goal, school principals and their deputies are urged to incorporate this educational segment into daily classroom activities.
Mr. Bazongo additionally emphasized the importance of promoting the "endogenous canteen" concept, a government initiative. He believes that integrating this model into the routines of students' parents will significantly contribute to food sovereignty within schools.
Wendinconte Alain Kiemtore, president of the special delegation of the commune of Mane, highlighted the broader benefits of consuming local products. He stated that choosing local foods is not only a matter of identity but also a public health measure. Local, fresh, and natural products, he noted, help prevent diseases often associated with imported foods.
"Our dishes tell our story. Eating local is proudly carrying our culture, just as we respect the flag when the national colors are raised," Kiemtore remarked.
The event took place at the Centre 'A' primary school in Mane and was part of the initial two weeks of the Patriotic Engagement and Citizen Participation Days (JEPPC). It was attended by local authorities, education stakeholders, and students.
