Ga©tan Gorou Takes Charge as New Provincial Director of Family and Solidarity in Namentenga

Namentenga: The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, officially installed Ga©tan Gorou as the new Provincial Director of Family and Solidarity on Thursday, Friday, 2026, in his new position, in the presence of provincial dignitaries. Mr. Gorou stated that he would dedicate his mandate to consolidating the achievements of his predecessor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the new Provincial Director expressed his deep gratitude to the highest authorities in the country for the trust placed in him to lead the provincial department in charge of Family Affairs. Mr. Gorou also requested the support of his colleagues to achieve the set objectives.

The High Commissioner of Namentenga Province, Adama Conseiga, congratulated the new Provincial Director, Ga©tan Gorou, on his appointment and wished him every success in his mission.

The outgoing Provincial Director in charge of Family Affairs, Nor¨gma Ou©draogo, who served three years at the head of the department, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all those who supported him during his time in Namentenga Province. According to him, more activities were carried out during his three years of service. These included, among other things, the regular holding of sessions of the provincial council for emergency relief and rehabilitation with the support of the Teeltaaba project, the development of a contingency plan for the communes of Dargo and Boulsa, and the relocation of the administrative building.

According to staff representative Inoussa Nana, outgoing Director General Ou©draogo was an accessible manager, concerned about the quality of work and attentive to the concerns of his colleagues. "Your support has allowed us to improve our professional practices and strengthen our commitment to the mission entrusted to us. We expect to benefit from the same advantages with the incoming Director General, to whom we express our full availability to support him in the success of his mission," he said.

It is worth noting that many gifts were presented to the outgoing Director, as a sign of appreciation for the good relations that existed between them during his stay in the province of Namentenga.
