Burkina faso: The first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Faso Mªbo Agency, Harouna Sawadogo, promised on Tuesday, during his installation, to lead a committed and results-oriented governance, with the ambition of having a lasting impact on infrastructure development in Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Harouna Sawadogo emphasized Faso-Mªbo's strategic role in the structural transformation of Burkina Faso, promising constant support from the Board of Directors to the general management and technical teams for the achievement of common objectives. Sawadogo also highlighted the importance of rigor and quality in the execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring that nothing should be overlooked to guarantee sustainable works for future generations.

He pledged to promote efficient resource management and effective organization to accelerate ongoing projects. Appointed by the Council of Ministers on February 12, 2026, Sawadogo, who is also the Director General of the Burkina Faso Atomic Energy Agency (ABEA), expressed gratitude to the Burkinabe authorities and demonstrated his determination to successfully complete the mission entrusted to him.

The installation of Harouna Sawadogo was officiated by the Secretary General of the Presidency of Faso, Zakaria Sor©, during a ceremony that also marked the installation of four other members of the deliberative body of Faso Mªbo. Sor© congratulated the Chairman and his team, urging the Board of Directors and the general management of Faso Mªbo to work in harmony for the smooth running of the agency's activities.

He emphasized the need for rigor in addressing both technical and social challenges, particularly in urban mobility and improving the living environment. Sor© called on all actors to demonstrate responsibility and efficiency, confident that the agency's success will rely on coherent action between its different bodies.

Finally, Sor© invited the new leaders to demonstrate innovation and commitment to elevate Faso Mªbo to a level of excellence, inspiring beyond national borders.
