Bingo: A Local Son Finances the Rehabilitation of the Kaligri-RD 147 Road

Bingo: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Bingo, Yacouba Gouem, launched the rehabilitation work on Thursday in Kaligri, on the section of road linking the said locality to the departmental road 147, financed by Wendkuilga Amza Congo, son of the locality, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this infrastructure, entirely financed by traditional healer Wendkuilga Amza Congo, aims to open up the area and support national development efforts. The roar of the bulldozer, around 10 a.m. this Thursday, marked the effective start of the opening up of the area for the people of Kaligri, in the commune of Bingo. Having long faced mobility difficulties, the residents enthusiastically witnessed the launch of the work to repair the rural track leading to the departmental road 147.

The project is the fruit of the patriotism of Wendkuilga Amza Congo, a renowned healer from the village. According to the donor, this gesture responds to the call from the highest authorities in the country, urging every citizen to contribute to the development of Burkina Faso. "The development of our nation rests on the commitment of each of its sons," he asserted.

The provincial director in charge of the Construction of the Homeland of Boulkiemde, Souleymane Tingueri, praised an 'exemplary' initiative which is in line with the government's vision. While encouraging the benefactor to continue his acts of solidarity, he promised to pass the information on to his superiors so that this example of citizenship could inspire other private actors across the country.

For Yacouba Gouem, the PDS (Democratic Party of Bingo), this action demonstrates a perfect understanding of the Head of State's vision. Mr. Gouem particularly congratulated Mr. Congo for his dual role: that of a health actor through traditional medicine and that of a development actor through infrastructure. He also wanted to thank the state technical services for their responsiveness, having been present at this ceremony despite a very short notice period.

The ceremony mobilized, in addition to the administrative authorities, the village chief of Kaligri, members of the citizen watch group and a large crowd who turned out to show their gratitude to the donor.
