Fada n'gourma: The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Mr. Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, officially inaugurated the 72-hour open house days of the justice system in Fada N'Gourma. The event was attended by regional, provincial, and communal administrative authorities, customary and religious authorities, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), justice actors, schoolchildren, and a large gathering of citizens.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the open house days are organized under the theme of making justice more accessible to the public. The initiative aims to educate citizens about the workings of the judicial institution, its objectives, and recent reforms to aid those seeking justice.

Barnabe Compaore, the chairman of the organizing committee and Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Fada N'Gourma, emphasized that the event is designed to strengthen the relationship between the justice system and the public. He noted that the initiative offers a platform for direct interaction, allowing citizens to gain a deeper understanding of judicial procedures, the rights and responsibilities of litigants, and the roles of various judicial actors.

The Attorney General commended the involvement of administrative officials, partners, and the community in supporting this activity, which promotes a justice system that is more accessible, transparent, and focused on citizens.

Minister Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, while officially launching the event, highlighted the importance of making justice comprehensible and inclusive for all citizens to uphold the rule of law and social harmony. He mentioned that the open days provide a unique chance for the public to interact with magistrates, court clerks, judicial police officers, and other judicial system representatives to dispel common misconceptions about the justice process.

The Minister encouraged the public, especially the youth and schoolchildren, to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about legal professions and embrace the values of civic duty, responsibility, and lawfulness.

The three-day event includes a variety of activities such as public conferences, panel discussions, exhibitions, guided tours of the courts, and interactive sessions between the public and legal professionals.

The ceremony witnessed significant participation from constituted bodies, judicial actors, and the Defense and Security Forces, reflecting the community's interest in bridging the gap between justice and citizens.
