Sandbondtenga: Imam Oumarou Diallo called on Wednesday for the faithful Muslim of Pensa to preserve the values of fraternity, solidarity, and social cohesion, on the occasion of the great prayer of Eid al-Adha. In his sermon, Imam Oumarou Diallo urged the people to strengthen living together and peaceful coexistence in order to consolidate peace in the commune of Pensa.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Imam Diallo also praised his community’s tradition of accompanying the canton chief to the Tabaski prayer site, which he said symbolized religious tolerance and social cohesion. The religious leader offered blessings to the country’s authorities, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), who are engaged in the reconquest of peace and security in Burkina Faso.

For his part, the chief of the Pensa canton, Naaba Karfo, paid tribute to the peace and security personnel in his jurisdiction. He expressed his satisfaction with the smooth running of the celebration in a peaceful atmosphere. After the sacrifice of the sheep, the faithful Muslim continued the festivities in their families around festive meals shared in brotherhood and conviviality.
