Banwa: During the traditional monthly flag-raising ceremony this Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Banwa provincial high school, the High Commissioner of the province Sanfi©nal© Joseph Sirima called on the population to ban hate speech.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the constituted bodies of the Banwa province, the customary and religious leaders, the various leaders of women's associations, and the students of the Banwa provincial high school attended the monthly raising of the rotating colors this first Monday of June at the Banwa provincial high school.
After the raising of the colours by two members of the 18th Rapid Intervention Battalion, the High Commissioner acknowledged the presence of the participants and invited everyone to respect their fellow man. "Mouths speak of peace but actions prepare for war and that is not interesting. Our words and our actions must be in agreement and we must avoid hurtful words that divide," he stated.
Mr. Sirima congratulated the women of the province for the success of the 72 hours of solidarity and commitment held on May 28, 29 and 30 in Solenzo. He concluded his remarks by inviting students in exam classes to have confidence in themselves in order to bring honor to the Banwa province. "Avoid fraud and cheating. Trust yourselves and you will have a 100% pass rate for the exams in Banwa province," he concluded.
