Gogo: The Bascorma Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) in the commune of Tougo, Zondoma province, received a new ambulance donated by El Hadj Moussa Ou©draogo, also known as Wobgo. The donation was presented on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Bascorma, in the presence of Boureima Souley, President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Tougo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official handover of the vehicle took place in the presence of the traditional, administrative, and health authorities of the commune. The keys to the ambulance were first given to Naaba Piiga by the donor before being passed on to the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Tougo Boureima Souley.

For the donor, El Hadj Moussa Ou©draogo, known as Wobgo, this action is part of a spirit of sharing with the community. "God has blessed us, and we cannot keep this for our family alone. That is why we acquired this ambulance to help alleviate the suffering of the people and save lives," he explained.

Presiding over the ceremony, the head of the Tougo health center praised the significant social impact of the donation. He stated that it represents invaluable support for the local healthcare system. "This is an act of solidarity and civic responsibility that we truly appreciate," he declared. Before handing over the keys to the head of the local primary healthcare center, the head of the municipality urged him to properly maintain the ambulance, which he said would improve medical evacuations and facilitate access to care for the residents of Bascorma and the surrounding villages.

Speaking at the event, Naaba Piiga of Bascorma, who was celebrating his "nappoussoum" (a religious festival) that same day, expressed his gratitude to the benefactor and encouraged the sons and daughters of the community to follow this example. "The State built this primary healthcare center for us; it is also our responsibility to support its efforts. This donation is truly commendable and demonstrates the donor's commitment to the well-being of his community," he emphasized.

Located about 15 kilometers from Tougo, the Bascorma CSPS opened in 2022. It includes a maternity ward, a dispensary, a pharmaceutical depot, latrine blocks and three accommodations for health personnel.
