Ganzourgou: The written and oral examinations for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) and the Junior High School Certificate (BEPC), 2026 session, were officially launched Tuesday in Zorgho by the High Commissioner of the Ganzourgou Province, Aminata Sorgho/Gouba.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner was accompanied by Valentin Badolo, president of the Zorgho municipal special delegation, provincial education officials, and members of the Defense and Security Forces. The delegation visited several examination centers, starting with the Kambambori "A" school to encourage candidates for the CEP before moving to the Naba Koulga municipal high school to open the first envelope containing the BEPC results.
Nobila C©lestine Zagr©, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education, reported that Ganzourgou has 7,950 candidates for the CEP exam, distributed across 12 examination boards and 43 centers. Over 1,200 people are involved in facilitating the exams.
For the BEPC exams, Barth©l©mie Boudaon©, the provincial director of secondary, vocational, and technical education, stated that 3,026 candidates are registered, with 68.86% being girls. These exams are conducted in 83 rooms across various municipalities.
Provincial education officials have assured that all organizational measures have been taken for a smooth session. Ms. Zagr© highlighted the community's role in providing accommodations for candidates traveling from distant locations.
Addressing the candidates, Ms. Zagr© encouraged them to remain calm and focused, while Mr. Boudaon© advised students to reduce stress and avoid cheating. He also commended everyone involved in ensuring the exams' success.
High Commissioner Aminata Sorgho/Gouba emphasized the importance of merit, discipline, and responsibility among candidates and thanked teachers, parents, and education partners for their support throughout the school year.
At jury number 3 of the Naba Koulga municipal high school, jury president Hamado Sawadogo mentioned that his center was hosting 270 candidates, including 82 boys, across six rooms. He assured that the exams were proceeding smoothly and urged candidates to trust in their abilities while adhering to the rules.
