Nakamb©: The Secretary General of the Nakamb© region, Tass©r© Nacoulma, representing the governor, officially launched the written tests for the Brevet d'©tudes du premier cycle (BEPC), the Certificat d'aptitude professionnelle (CAP), and the Brevet d'©tudes professionnelles (BEP) on Tuesday at the Coll¨ge Marie Reine in Tenkodogo. For this first phase of the 2026 session exams, the region has registered 12,475 candidates, with the hope of improving on the results of the previous year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, after opening the envelope containing the first test and visiting some of the examination rooms, the governor's representative addressed a message of encouragement to the candidates. "Currently, it's simply a matter of demonstrating what you've learned over the past nine months of classes," stated Mr. Nacoulma, encouraging students to approach the exams with confidence and composure.

He urged the candidates to overcome their stress and rely on the work they had accomplished throughout the school year. "What we're going to ask them will be entirely within the curriculum," he reassured them. The Secretary-General of the region also emphasized the values of integrity and merit, calling on students to be "model candidates" and rejecting all forms of cheating. He stated that Burkina Faso needs young workers capable of realizing their potential to contribute to national development.

The regional director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training in Nakamb©, Nachor Sorgho, welcomed the smooth launch of the exams. According to him, all preparatory steps were carried out according to the established schedule, from registration to the administration of the exams. "The authorities were able to anticipate and today we are ready to administer the written exams," he stated.

The Nakamb© region has 12,475 candidates this year, including 4,667 boys and 7,808 girls. Specifically, the BEPC (Brevet The candidates come from 237 establishments and are distributed across 70 secondary centers attached to 48 juries, including 26 in the province of Boulgou, 4 in Koulp©logo, and 18 in Kourittenga.

The regional director also noted some innovations introduced this year at the BEPC level, including the reduction of the coefficients for French and mathematics, from 5 to 3, as well as the elimination of the dictation test. In view of the organizational arrangements taken and the adjustments made in the evaluation system, education officials are optimistic about the results of the 2026 session.

The governor's representative and the regional director wished good luck to all the candidates for the BEPC, CAP, and BEP in the Nakamb© region, while inviting them to demonstrate discipline, concentration, and confidence in their abilities to successfully meet this decisive moment in their academic journey.
