Sourou: The High Commissioner of Sourou province, D©sir© Badolo, alongside the Secretary General of the province, Wendyam Martial Ou©draogo, and the President of the Special Delegation of Tougan, Ouigou Tiendrebeogo, officially inaugurated the 2026 school examinations in Kassan. The launch of the Primary School Certificate (CEP), Junior High School Certificate (BEPC), and Vocational Aptitude Certificate (CAP) exams took place with the presence of defense and security forces.

According to Burkina Information Agency, D©sir© Badolo emphasized that the selection of the Kassan center for the exam launch was a deliberate move to honor the resilience and dedication of those who facilitated the resumption of classes despite challenges. Badolo extended his gratitude to the Defense and Security Forces, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, education stakeholders, and others who played a part in the successful resumption and completion of the school year in Kassan.

He encouraged the exam candidates to stay focused and apply the lessons learned from their educators to achieve results that reflect the efforts of everyone involved in creating a conducive learning environment.

For the 2026 exam session, Sourou province has registered 1,457 candidates for the CEP, with a nearly equal split of 728 boys and 729 girls across 11 examination centers. Additionally, 1,252 candidates are participating in the BEPC and CAP exams, comprising 503 boys and 749 girls, across five juries within the province.
