Digital Platform ‘Regional Portal’ Launched to Connect Burkinabe Regions


Ouahigouya: Minister Aminata Zerbo/ Saban officially launches the digital platform ‘Regional Portal’. The Ministers of Digital Transition, Posts and Electronic Communications, Dr. Aminata Zerbo, and her colleague of Territorial Administration and Mobility, Emile Zerbo, officially launched the institutional digital platform called “Portal of the Regions” on Tuesday, June 16, in the City of Naaba Kango.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Governor of the Yaadga region, Thomas Yampa, expressed gratitude on behalf of all regional governors, appreciating the government’s foresight in connecting regions and local authorities. Governor Yampa highlighted that the portal serves to dismantle barriers, not only within Burkina Faso but also for the diaspora, by providing comprehensive regional information.



Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, Emile Zerbo, underlined the significance of regions in coordinating governmental actions, emphasizing the importance of digitizing and archiving administrative services. “The choice to organize the launch in the regions reflects a strong conviction that the development of Burkina Faso is built from the ground up,” he explained.



According to MTDPCE, Aminata Zerbo/ Saban described the “Portal of the Regions” as a crucial medium for showcasing the cultural, economic, and tourist potential of each region to Burkinabe people, both domestically and abroad. Prior to launching the portal, the Minister encouraged regional officials to adopt and promote the platform actively. The portal can be accessed at www.portail-regions.gov.bf.
