Burkina Faso: First Secretary of State Portfolio Commits to Integrity and Innovation

Ouagadougou: Ernest Kabor©, the newly appointed Technical Secretary responsible for monitoring the state portfolio and its subsidiaries' holdings in economic entities, has pledged his dedication to integrity and innovation. His commitment was announced during his official installation ceremony held in Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Kabor© emphasized that his actions would be guided by principles of excellence, integrity, and innovation, as stated by the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Mamadou Demb©l©. The establishment of the Technical Secretariat in charge of monitoring the state portfolio is aimed at enhancing the strategic role of public assets in driving national economic development.

The mission of the ST/SPPE involves strategic management, enhancement, monitoring, securing, and optimizing the movable assets held by the State and its subdivisions. Kabor© acknowledged the significance of his mission and expressed his commitment to executing it with dedication, relying on the support of all stakeholders to achieve its objectives.

Kabor© called for collective support to ensure the proper growth of this nascent organization, aimed at fulfilling its potential. He acknowledged the contributions of those who have previously managed the public portfolio and expressed his intention to build upon existing achievements to implement more modern and efficient management mechanisms.

He highlighted the importance of dialogue and consultation in establishing a solid foundation for the organization, aspiring to make it a benchmark in managing state participations and assets. Kabor© reiterated his commitment to collaborating with various institutional partners and sought the support of authorities, staff, and economic stakeholders to address the challenges confronting the new structure.

Ernest Kabor©, who is also a Treasury Inspector, was appointed by the Council of Ministers on May 21, 2026. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Agency for the Promotion of Inclusive Finance (ANPFI).
