Ouagadougou: Primary schools A and B in Satiri concluded the 2025-2026 school year on Sunday, July 12, 2026, with a ceremony celebrating academic excellence. The event brought together municipal, traditional, and religious authorities, teaching staff, parents, alumni, and current students.
According to Burkina Information Agency, on behalf of the village chief, Yaya Traore congratulated the teachers and the organizing committee before urging the students to persevere in their studies. Representatives of alumni and parents praised the teachers' dedication and called for better support for the children.
The chairman of the school council, Aboubacar Traore, and the director of primary school A, Sangouan Sanou, expressed their satisfaction and thanked all the stakeholders involved.
The head of the Satiri Basic Education District (CEB), Boukary Badini, praised the performance of the two schools and encouraged the students to continue their efforts. He also paid tribute to the municipality's ongoing support for the education sector.
Representing the president of the special delegation, Tahirou Traore recalled the challenges related to school infrastructure and invited the sons and daughters of the locality to strengthen their support for the school.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of prizes to the best students, an envelope of 50,000 FCFA to each of the CM2 teachers, as well as certificates of recognition to several girls and sons of the commune for their contribution to the development of education.
