Presiding over the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Coordination Committee, Colonel Daba NAON, praised the mobilization of the participants and emphasized the strategic importance of this training in the success of the program. He recalled that this initiative, supported by the highest authorities of Burkina Faso, aims to forge a conscious, disciplined, resilient youth deeply attached to patriotic values.
Colonel Daba NAON invited the trainers, selected on the basis of their skills, patriotism, and exemplary conduct, to demonstrate rigor, diligence, and a spirit of sharing. At the end of this training, their mission will be to train, in their respective regions and provinces, the facilitators and supervisors responsible for accompanying the conscripts in the mandatory patriotic immersion.
For the Inspector General of Secondary Education and Vice-President of the Pedagogical Unit of the IPO, Lamouni SORO indicated that the participants will receive training based on a pedagogical workbook comprising 13 modules. This content covers both military discipline and values, as well as civic education designed to strengthen the civic-mindedness, patriotism, and revolutionary spirit of the conscripts. He also clarified that the official name for participants in the immersion program is now "called for mandatory patriotic immersion" and not "immersed," a terminology that better reflects the program's objectives.
