Ouagadougou: The Environmental and Eco-citizenship Cell (CECO), under the leadership of the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), launched the 'Clean City' operation with a significant cleaning activity at the Toc medical center on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The event saw participation from the local population and civil society, aiming to create a healthier environment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the activity at the Toc medical center is part of a broader initiative to enhance public health and environmental protection. This effort is aligned with the National Environment and Eco-citizenship Week, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in the community.
Comrade Harouna Nana, President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Toc, who led the launch, acknowledged the residents' commitment even amidst the busy winter season. He urged all inhabitants to prioritize the cleanliness of their homes and workplaces to address hygiene and sanitation challenges within the municipality.
Additionally, the PDS called for widespread participation in the upcoming Communal Tree Planting Day on July 30 and encouraged efforts to establish and maintain village forests in the commune.
