Ouagadougou: The municipality establishes a Youth Advisory Council: The municipality of Arbinda established a Municipal Youth Advisory Council (CCCJ) on Friday, July 17, 2026, with the official installation of its executive committee. The ceremony, held in the town hall meeting room, was presided over by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS), Comrade Lazare KIEME.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this implementation represents an important step in strengthening youth participation in local governance. It brought together many young people as well as the driving forces of the community, who came to demonstrate their support for this initiative aimed at promoting civic engagement and local development.
In his speech, Comrade Lazare KIEME welcomed the creation of this consultative body, which he described as a privileged framework for dialogue, consultation, and proposals between young people and municipal authorities. He invited the members of the office to carry out their mission with responsibility, patriotism, and a spirit of service, in order to contribute effectively to the development of the municipality.
The Municipal Youth Advisory Council will now offer a permanent space for expression, dialogue, and civic participation to the young people of Arbinda. Through his reflections and proposals, he will contribute to strengthening their involvement in decision-making processes and to promoting participatory, inclusive, and public interest-oriented local governance.
