Loroum Achieves Academic Excellence with 39 Award Winners at Regional Ceremony


Ouagadougou: The province of Loroum distinguished itself during the 2026 Regional Day of School Excellence organized on Friday, July 24, 2026, in Ouahigouya by the Regional Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of Yaadga, with a total of 39 winners rewarded for their performance and commitment.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held under the theme “School Excellence and Strengthening Resilience in the Yaadga Region: An Integrated Approach to Consolidating the Achievements of Educational Reforms for Quality Education.” The ceremony honored students, teachers, parents, and educational structures, highlighting Loroum’s commitment to education despite security challenges.



The winners, who were recognized for their efforts, received various awards, including school kits, bicycles, motorcycles, computer equipment, certificates, and cash prizes. Among the recipients was Ousseni Sawadogo, the director of Rambo A school, who was named the best resilient teacher in the province. He attributed the award to the collective work of his educational team and viewed it as motivation to continue their efforts.



Harouna Tao, director of Titao B public primary school and a celebrated teacher from Loroum, achieved a 100% success rate in the CEP with 93 candidates. He dedicated his recognition to his collaborators, emphasizing its importance in strengthening their resolve for continued excellence.



Student Inoussa Ouermi from Titao D school was recognized as the third best boy in the CEP 2026. He received a school kit and a bicycle, promising to maintain his performance.



Sidiki Mand©, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education in Loroum, expressed satisfaction with the province’s achievements. He praised the resilience of educational communities and encouraged teachers to keep striving for improved academic performance.



Through these 39 awards, Loroum showcases its capability to uphold academic excellence in challenging circumstances, reflecting the dedication of teachers, students, parents, and partners to providing quality education.
