Nando’s Mission Officer Encourages Agricultural VDPs in Koudougou and Ramongo

Abuja: The Head of Mission for the Nando region, Pema Neya, accompanied by his team, carried out a field visit on Monday, July 27, to the agricultural sites of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the communes of Koudougou and Ramongo, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, conducted alongside the two focal points, Ibrahim Bonkoungou and Daouda Sanfo, this monitoring mission allowed officials to immerse themselves in the realities on the ground and to see firsthand the evolution of activities on the different sites.

During direct discussions with producers, the delegation commended the resilience and dedication of the agricultural VDPs (Volunteers for the Development of the Countryside). While acknowledging the challenges inherent in the current campaign, the leaders encouraged them to stay the course and continue their efforts with determination.

They were also given technical advice and practical guidance to optimize yields and strengthen the management of their agropastoral activities.

Through this initiative, the authorities reaffirm their firm commitment to supporting these early actors, not only on the security front, but also in their major contribution to the quest for food sovereignty and endogenous development in Burkina Faso.
