Gayri: The Komondjari Gold Miners' Union presented a contribution of 825,000 FCFA to Gayri on Friday in support of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the province, in a show of solidarity with the forces engaged in securing the territory.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was received by the president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Gayri, Comrade Emmanuel Lankoand, representing the communes of Gayri and Foutouri. The PDS noted that this contribution is a new act of patriotism and solidarity on the part of the gold miners of the province.

The total amount is distributed as follows: 625,000 FCFA to the VDP based in Gayri and 200,000 FCFA to those in Tankoualou. "The gold miners have once again made a very commendable and highly appreciated gesture," said Comrade Emmanuel Lankoand.

On behalf of the Special Delegations of the communes of Gayri and Foutouri, Lankoand expressed his deep gratitude to the gold miners for their numerous actions in support of the efforts to secure the province. He also offered blessings for the success of their activities, while encouraging them to continue their civic engagement for the benefit of peace and social cohesion.

This contribution is part of the dynamic of mobilizing the vital forces of Komondjari in support of the VDP, engaged alongside the Defense and Security Forces in the fight against insecurity.
