Nandiala: The Nandiala town hall hosted, on Friday, August 7, in its meeting room, an information and awareness meeting focused on the National Vector Control Day, under the banner of eliminating larval breeding grounds to defeat malaria.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the opening ceremony was presided over by the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality, Comrade Aminata Diallo. She was assisted by the Secretary General of the town hall, Comrade Talardia Joseph Tiabondou, and the doctor in charge of the Medical Center, Dr. Ibrahim Sanou.

The meeting brought together community leaders as well as the presidents of the Village Development Committees (VDCs). In his presentation, Dr. Ibrahim Sanou gave a detailed overview of the day's objectives. He briefed the audience on the implementation process, the expected health benefits, the consequences of malaria, and the schedule of activities planned throughout the year.

PDS Aminata Diallo urged participants to fully commit to mobilizing all social strata, thus guaranteeing the success of this public health initiative. Addressing the life of the nation, the PDS invited the assembly to an endogenous mobilization, in the form of contributions in kind and/or in cash, in order to support the mandatory patriotic immersion underway in the province.

Furthermore, she informed the participants of the upcoming arrival of food supplies from SONAGESS, while specifying the conditions of access for the population.
