Ouagadougou: The municipality of Sigl mobilized on Thursday, August 6, at the Sigl market, on the occasion of the launch of the first edition of the National Days of Vector Control (JNLAV).

According to Burkina Information Agency, administrative and health authorities, traditional and religious leaders, merchants, and local residents all responded enthusiastically to this important initiative aimed at strengthening the fight against mosquitoes, the vectors of malaria. The ceremony was presided over by the President of the Special Delegation of the Sigl municipality, Comrade Isma«l KABORE, who is also the Prefect of the Sigl department.

In his appeal, KABORE invited the entire population to fully engage in the fight against malaria, particularly by eliminating larval breeding grounds and stagnant water around homes and in public places. The watchword is to work together to destroy larval breeding grounds to better protect families and the community against malaria.
