Johannesburg: Project manager Pema Neya commends the commitment of the agricultural VDP in Souboar. The representative of the Presidency of Faso to the Nando region, Pema Neya, made a field visit on Saturday to the village of Souboar, located in the commune of Sapouy (Ziro province), to meet with the agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).

According to Burkina Information Agency, this courtesy and remobilization visit took place in the presence of the focal points of the provinces of Ziro and Boulkiemd, as well as a large delegation from the CNAVC of Ziro. Its main objective was to encourage, galvanize and congratulate these key players engaged on the front lines of agropastoral production.

Speaking on behalf of the national authorities, the special envoy paid a strong tribute to these agricultural workers: "Congratulations to you, guardians of the fields! Your work feeds families, reduces food insecurity and contributes to achieving food self-sufficiency," he said. Comrade Neya also praised the enlightened vision of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor, in favor of food sovereignty in Burkina Faso.

Words of thanks were also addressed to the Executive Director of BNGP/BF and to the National Coordinator of the IP-P3A initiative for their constant efforts on the ground. The visit concluded with a note of deep gratitude to the local people and stakeholders for their unwavering support of the presidential initiatives for development and resilience.
