Ouahigouya: Banh residents living in Ouahigouya organized a community day on Saturday, August 22, during which people were invited to redouble their efforts to support the actions undertaken by the highest authorities, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this youth initiative was placed under the theme "Cultural diversity: challenges and perspectives for social cohesion and living together". At the opening of the day's activities, the president of the Banh municipal special delegation, Thophile Wendpouir Zongo, expressed his delight at the concrete realization of this initiative, which provides an opportunity for residents to come together in one place and share in community. He also urged the community to implement the recommendations that will be presented at the end of the conference, recommendations which will undoubtedly be assets that foster good citizenship, patriotism, and active solidarity.
Driven by a united youth movement, the event was enhanced by a conference focused on mutual respect and dialogue between different cultures. The day's speaker, Yala Dahourou, who is also a technical advisor to the governor of the Yaadga region, argued in his presentation that these values are essential stepping stones for building socioeconomic progress in the Banh commune.
During the discussions, the Emir of Banh Moussa, Alcny Barry, praised the resilience of a community that has successfully integrated and lives in harmony with its host communities. He indicated that the holding of this event was an invitation to the residents of the Foye canton to consider the current situation as temporary, while urging them to redouble their efforts in supporting the actions undertaken by the country's authorities in the reconquest of national territory.
The chairman of the organizing committee (PCO), Souleymane Oudraogo, and his colleagues expressed their readiness to mobilize the sons and daughters of the community around the ideals of the RPP (Rally for Progress and Development), which promote selflessness and endogenous development. The PCO expressed its gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this first community day, which lived up to all expectations.
The day, which saw the participation of several personalities and residents of the municipality, was a moment of reunion, sharing of experiences and solidarity.
