Boulgou: The youth of the Zons commune, Boulgou province, mobilized this Saturday to rehabilitate the badly deteriorated Zons-Wangala road. This civic initiative was led by the youth president, Romaric Benjamin Sangoet, and his secretary, Gouba Lassane Lon. Armed with shovels, picks, and wheelbarrows, dozens of young people undertook backfilling and reshaping work on the road to facilitate the movement of people and goods between Zons and Wangala.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by the Municipal Youth Council and aims to improve mobility and open up the municipality. The initiators argued that "the road to development passes through the development of roads," emphasizing that improving communication routes is a prerequisite for economic and social development. The issue also has a health dimension, as the Zons-Wangala road is used by ambulances to evacuate patients to the Zabr Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA). Its poor condition complicates evacuations, particularly during the rainy season.

Present at the scene, the president of the special delegation (PDS) of Zons, Wendinmi Frdric Oudraogo, praised what he called a "youth awakening." He congratulated the young people for their civic engagement and urged them to maintain this momentum in service of local development. For the organizers, this community action, carried out with limited resources, cannot be a sustainable solution. They are advocating for support from the relevant authorities to develop a rural road, passable in all seasons, linking Zons to Zabr, to sustainably improve access to basic social services and strengthen ties between the two communities.
