Bassitenga High Commissioner Urges Triumphant Welcome for ‘Super Teacher’ 2025

Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of the Bassitenga province, Sadou Guigma, called on the inhabitants of the locality to give a triumphant welcome to Didier Zongo, crowned "super teacher 2025 of secondary", during the National Day of School Excellence, on September 4, 2026 in Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in a note signed on September 8, 2026, a copy of which was obtained by the agency, the High Commissioner invited the various components of the population to mobilize to celebrate the merit of this hero of education. The tribute ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the High Commission Square in Ziniar. Prior to the ceremony, the program includes a gathering at the gateway to receive the honoree and a procession through the city.

Didier Zongo was honored during the National Day of Academic Excellence, in the presence of the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor. This award recognizes his career and commitment to secondary education. For the High Commissioner, this recognition is an opportunity to value performance and to make it a lever for the sustainable promotion of quality in the education system.

The ceremony, which will take place in Ziniar, is expected to bring together, around the laureate, administrative authorities, education stakeholders, students, parents of students as well as the populations of the province.
