Ouagadougou: The town hall comes to the aid of vulnerable people: The town hall of the rural commune of Kindi carried out on Friday, September 11, the distribution of food to vulnerable people in the locality, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the aid package included 44 bags of maize, 21 bags of 25 kg rice, and 22 5-litre cans of oil. This donation was targeted at supporting widows, people living with disabilities, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the area, addressing critical needs during the lean season.

The handover ceremony was led by Bassol, the 2nd Vice-President, representing the President of the Special Delegation of Kindi. He was accompanied by Hamidou Kabor, the head of the social service of the commune. During the ceremony, the municipal authorities highlighted the resilience of the aid recipients and reiterated their ongoing support for these vulnerable groups. They also acknowledged the dedication of the social services department in their ongoing efforts to assist those in need.

Barthlmy Zongo, representing the beneficiaries as the head of services for people living with disabilities, expressed deep gratitude towards the town hall for their assistance. He emphasized the importance of such support during challenging times and urged the administrative authorities to continue and expand these vital acts of solidarity, which are crucial for populations with limited support options.
