Ouagadougou: The Andra Magicland Park in Bobo-Dioulasso hosted a day of leisure activities dedicated to the children of members of the constituted bodies of the Guiriko region. This event, held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, aimed to provide children with an opportunity for relaxation, discovery, and social interaction.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the activity was a result of collaboration between the Regional Directorate of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism of Guiriko (DRCCAT-Guiriko) and the Andra Magicland Park. Boukary Malgoubri, the Regional Director of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism for Guiriko, emphasized that the initiative reflects DRCCAT-Guiriko's commitment to children's development through exposure to the region's recreational spaces and tourist opportunities. Malgoubri stated, "We wanted to offer children a moment of joy and sharing, while also showing them the recreational spaces in our region."
Mohamed Kon, the manager of Andra Magicland Park, expressed his support for the initiative and highlighted the park's family-oriented focus. He noted that the park provides various attractions and recreational areas that cater to families and children, adding, "We are happy to have contributed to this activity."
The children who participated expressed their joy and satisfaction with the day's activities. One child shared her delight, saying, "I really enjoyed this day. We played, discovered several attractions and had a great time with the other children."
Parents, too, appreciated the event. Comrade Batour, representing the parents, acknowledged the attention given to the children's well-being, stating, "Our children were able to have fun, make new friends, and experience a day different from their usual routine. We greatly appreciate this initiative."
Through this recreational day, DRCCAT-Guiriko aims to promote leisure activities and enhance recreational spaces in the region, fostering opportunities for family gatherings and community engagement.
