Ouagadougou: Teachers are encouraged to embrace the new reforms to better play their part. The Secretary General of the Nahouri Province, Emile Hien, opened the days of educational animation for secondary school teachers, during which they were invited to appropriate the new reforms in order to better prepare learners for socio-economic initiation, according to their profiles and aspirations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the theme for the event is "Implementation of reforms in secondary education: development of skills through vocational training and scientific and technological education." This initiative marks the beginning of educational animation days in P´ for secondary school teachers from Nahouri. The event, which commenced on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, aims to guide educators in adapting to the reformed educational landscape.
The Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Vocational Training of Nahouri, Malick Simpor, highlighted the province's achievement of securing the first place at the regional level in the BAC and BEPC, session of 2026. He attributed this success to the collaborative efforts of all education stakeholders and expressed his desire to maintain this positive trajectory in the upcoming school year.
The provincial secretary general, representing the Minister of Secondary Education, acknowledged the dedication and resilience of education stakeholders. He encouraged teachers to adopt the new reforms to equip learners for socio-economic participation in alignment with their individual profiles and aspirations.
Over the course of three days, participants will engage in discussions on various sub-themes, including vocational training, diversification of specialties and series, promotion of specific pathways in post-primary and secondary education, and the advancement of scientific and technological education along with information and communication technologies. This engagement is aimed at enhancing the understanding of new educational reforms and strengthening professional practices of secondary school teachers to contribute to the improvement of the education system.
