Ouagadougou: The Barga Basic Education District (CEB) held its first management council meeting of the 2026-2027 school year on Friday to develop appropriate and resilient strategies to ensure the continuity of educational provision, AIB observed on site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the head of the Barga basic education district, Daouda Sigu, described this initial meeting as a troop review at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. He emphasized the tradition of engaging with education partners to align viewpoints, consolidate past achievements, and identify future prospects in preparation for any eventualities.

Sigu highlighted the importance of the management team's communication with all stakeholders, particularly classroom teachers, to identify challenges, devise solutions, and report to the hierarchy when necessary. He noted the hierarchy's consistent positive response to such reports.

The educational staff of Barga, Sigu stated, are well-equipped to ensure comprehensive training for learners, who are seen as the future architects of the Burkinabe nation.

The council meeting facilitated the development of strategies aimed at sustaining education for the younger generation in the Barga municipality. Heads of each internal department within the inspectorate provided updates on their respective areas. The council extended commendations to all individuals involved in education, acknowledging their contributions to the significant achievements of the past year.
