Flag-Raising Ceremony Marks Patriotic Commitment in Sourgou

Sourgou:A flag-raising ceremony took place at the General Education College (CEG) in Sourgou as part of the 2nd phase of the 3rd edition of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JNEPPC), coinciding with the start of the school year.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event gathered heads of municipal services, a delegation from the Sabou gendarmerie brigade, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) from Sourgou, as well as parents and students, all united around the values of Burkina Faso.

The school's director, Sibiri Jean Claude Tarpaga, addressed the attendees, focusing on this year's theme: "Let's produce Burkinab¨, let's consume Burkinab¨; our plate, our pride." He encouraged the educational community and local stakeholders to implement this slogan through tangible actions to achieve true food sovereignty and economic patriotism.

Tarpaga also stressed the need for rigor, order, and discipline within all public and community services, asserting that such an approach is essential for the Burkinab¨ people to "cultivate our dignity through local production and consumption."

He concluded by thanking all participants for their involvement and wished them a safe return to their respective departments.
