School Year Begins in Douroula with Focus on Discipline and Education

Douroula:The President of the Special Delegation of Douroula, Maxime Y. Bakouan, addressed students on the first day of the 2026-2027 academic year, emphasizing the importance of discipline, respect, solidarity, and a commitment to work.

According to the Burkina Information Agency, the launch ceremony gathered teaching and administrative staff from the Basic Education District and the departmental high school, along with parents. Bakouan commended the educational community for their resilience and achievements despite challenges in the previous year, urging them to continue improving academic performance.

He highlighted the role of parents and traditional and religious authorities in supporting education and called on students to maintain a clean learning environment and preserve public property. Bakouan also paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland for their contributions to resuming activities in various sectors.

Following the flag-raising ceremony, Bakouan visited the departmental high school, encouraging commitment to the new school year. The headmaster, Florentin Traor©, announced the high school's upcoming return to its original site and the opening of the General Education College of Bladi.

The Head of the Basic Education District, Moussa Dieni, praised the results achieved in 2026 and urged continued efforts. He announced the opening of five new schools, bringing the total to 14 operational schools in the district, a development welcomed by the inspector.

Anselme Zawa, headmaster of Douroula School A, expressed gratitude to the staff and Bakouan for his presence and involvement in the ceremony.
