P´:As part of enforcing mandatory helmet use, the National Police of Nahouri conducted a control operation in the city of P´, leading to the seizure of more than 100 mopeds in less than half a day.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Central Police Station in P´ carried out this operation to reduce the risk of serious injuries from traffic accidents. The Provincial Director of the National Police emphasized the importance of the measure, stating that wearing a helmet should become a reflex for everyone starting October 1st.
Despite some inconveniences, the measure has been generally well received by users. Mohamed Korabou, who retrieved his vehicle after presenting a helmet and paying a fine of 3,000 CFA francs, expressed support for the initiative, highlighting its focus on personal safety.
The Provincial Director praised the police personnel for their professionalism and rigor and urged the public to take the helmet requirement seriously.
