President’s Message Emphasizes Sovereignty at Niaogho Educational Event

Niaogho:Dramane Compaor, the First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Niaogho Municipality, presided over a flag-raising ceremony at the local General Education College (CEG) to mark the start of the second phase of the third edition of the National Days of Patriotic Engagement and Civic Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, Compaor delivered a message from Burkina Faso's President, Captain Ibrahim Traor, urging citizens to consider each purchase an act of sovereignty. This initiative falls under the slogan "All for Made in Burkina: let's make every purchase an act of sovereignty."

Dramane Compaor also congratulated the educational community, the defense and security forces, students, and parents for their participation. He conveyed the President's wishes for a successful school year characterized by discipline and diligence.

The President's message emphasized the importance of local processing to stop the export of unprocessed raw materials. Processing items like cotton, shea, sesame, and livestock products could generate jobs and income. The President also encouraged a shift in perception, stating that choosing Burkinabe products should be seen as an act of pride and sovereignty, not poverty.

The event concluded with Compaor commending the Niaogho CEG on achieving a 77.77% pass rate in the Brevet d'études du premier cycle (BEPC) exam and urging continued effort for improved results.
