Winners of SNC Bobo 2026 Set for National Cultural Tour in Burkina Faso

Bobo-Dioulasso:The winners of the National Culture Week (SNC) Bobo 2026 will embark on a national tour across Burkina Faso from October 13 to November 16, 2026, to engage with audiences and promote Burkinabè culture. This announcement was made by Christiane Sanon/Coulibaly, the Director General of the SNC.

Accourding to Burkina Information Agency, the tour aims to extend the impact of the winners' achievements beyond the confines of the event itself. Christiane Sanon/Coulibaly emphasized that the tour is designed to allow people in various regions to experience and appreciate the artistic talents showcased during this year's SNC.

The tour will include 116 artists and groups, with 102 from the performing arts, three in visual arts, four in culinary arts, and six in literature. It will cover multiple locations, including Cinkans, Zorgho, P, Kongoussi, Yako, and Dano. The tour will also pay tribute to one of the award winners who has passed away.

Christiane Sanon/Coulibaly stated that the tour's ambition is to use culture as a means for encounter, dialogue, and social cohesion. She highlighted the importance of culture in strengthening unity among Burkinabè people. The tour will feature a variety of activities such as a food fair, visual arts exhibitions, and literary events.

The organizing committee hopes the tour will enhance the visibility of the artists, promote Burkina Faso's cultural heritage, and foster stronger community ties. After being interrupted in previous years due to organizational challenges, the management now aims to make this tour a regular part of future editions of the SNC.
