Béguédo:The municipal environmental department of Béguédo welcomed a new head during a ceremony at the town hall meeting room, presided over by Comrade W. Moussa Ouédraogo, President of the Special Delegation of Béguédo. The event was attended by administrative, customary, and religious authorities, along with the Defense and Security Forces, personal service members, and representatives from Village Development Committees and civil society organizations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Lieutenant Dimasbila Tabsoba, the outgoing head from the Water and Forestry Department, presented his report after two years of service. He highlighted achievements such as supporting the creation of a community grove, promoting good environmental practices among the population, and resolving forestry operation disputes. Tabsoba expressed a sense of duty fulfilled and thanked all staff, authorities, and the community for their support, while also making recommendations for future actions.
Chief Warrant Officer Léandre Minoungou, installed by the PDS, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and stated his commitment to continue existing initiatives. He emphasized the importance of combating land degradation and supporting sustainable natural resource management, seeking collaboration from all parties involved.
The ceremony featured the signing of the handover report and the symbolic transfer of keys, registers, and work equipment, including rolling stock and technical equipment. Comrade W. Moussa Ouédraogo praised the outgoing head for his contributions and assured the new head of the department of the special delegation's support, stressing the centrality of environmental challenges to the municipality's development.
