The session, held on October 22, 2026, focused on unveiling the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy for 2026-2030.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting was aimed at providing clarity on Endeavour Mining's intervention areas and outlining its contributions to community development over the next five years. Nasse Ouedraogo, Social Performance Manager at HGO, highlighted the intent to enhance participants' understanding of these initiatives.
The ESG strategy, presented by Myriam Dahany, ESG Manager for Burkina Faso at Endeavour Mining, is built upon five pillars and ten priorities. Key commitments include community empowerment, economic growth, biodiversity preservation, and the promotion of ethical practices. The strategy's social initiatives feature health programs, such as the "Health Caravan," and efforts to promote education and support women in local product marketing during events like the National Culture Week and the Ouagadougou International Arts and Crafts Fair.
Economically, Endeavour Mining plans to enhance local business involvement, giving priority to regional businesses and service providers. Environmental commitments focus on biodiversity and environmental protection through habitat restoration and sustainable agricultural practices.
