Sindoukorony School Implements Educational Reforms Through Gardening

Sindou:Stakeholders at the Sindoukorony public primary school, located in the Basic Education District (CEB) of Sindou, gathered on Friday, October 23, 2026, to implement new educational reforms focused on school gardening and agricultural production activities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative began with the raising of the national flag, followed by a gathering of teaching staff, school council executive committee members, and students in the school garden. There, they harvested cassava and prepared new plots for vegetable crops.

Massadiami Karama, the school's principal, highlighted that the initiative aims to enhance agricultural and scientific learning by blending theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The project also encourages students to consume the produce they cultivate. Beyond the school garden, Sindoukorony school manages a 1.5-hectare cornfield, with the harvest yet to commence.

Comrade Karama mentioned that, supported by the school council, the Sindoukorony Primary School plans to grow tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, and eggplant throughout the academic year, aligning with their quarterly action plan. These efforts reflect the dedication of teachers, students, and parents to the educational system's new direction, inspired by the People's Progressive Revolution (RPP).

The initiative at Sindoukorony school aims to enhance students' practical learning and promote agricultural production in the community. Comrade Karama expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm shown by the school community towards achieving this shared goal for the students' future.
