Gao:Local authorities in Gao organized a flag-raising ceremony at the Gao departmental high school on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The event was attended by heads of decentralized services, civil society, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was coordinated by Comrade Paré Baba Harouna, the head of the Road Safety Post (PSR) in Gao. The event was conducted under the theme of social cohesion and patriotic commitment.

During the ceremony, Comrade Paré Baba Harouna highlighted the significance of uniting various societal components. He stressed that strengthening social cohesion and reinforcing ties between stakeholders are crucial for the consolidation of the progressive and popular revolution. Participants were encouraged to use such gatherings as opportunities to enhance their civic engagement and dedication to national ideals.

Before the conclusion of the event, organizers shared the monthly schedule for upcoming flag-raising ceremonies. This was aimed at ensuring regular participation and increased mobilization of community members.
