The president of the special delegation of Bittou chaired the ceremony of handing over animals and kits to 50 internally displaced persons (IDPs) to strengthen their resilience as part of the activities of the 'Tilgr Sorghum' project, on Monday April 14, 2024 in Bittou.The 'Tilgr Soré' project selected 50 vulnerable people from Bittou, Kanyiré and Loaba to benefit from this donation in order to practice income-generating activities.Thus, each beneficiary received 3 sheep and a kit consisting of 4 bags of oilcake, 3 feeders, 3 salt licks and a bucket.According to those responsible for the said project, 'Tilgr Sorghum' aims to strengthen resilience and social cohesion within vulnerable communities.This ceremony was chaired by the president of the special delegation of the commune of Bittou, Mohamed Lamine Diabaté, accompanied by the representative of the regional director in charge of humanitarian action in the Center-East, the secretary general of the town hall, representatives of young people from Bit tou.The president of the special Bittou delegation thanked the partners and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of it in order to be examples to give a long life to the project.Source: Burkina Information Agency
