Burkina/Industrial transformation: the president inaugurates the ‘ADIPROD INDUSTRIES SA’ factory

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE proceeded, this Monday morning in Bobo-Dioulasso, to the inauguration of the Agence Deli Internationale Prod Industries industrial complex 'ADIPROD INDUSTRIES SA'.With a construction cost of 18 billion CFA francs, the 'ADIPROD INDUSTRIES SA' industrial complex extends over an area of ??10 hectares in industrial zone B of Bobo-Dioulasso.It specializes in the production and marketing of edible oil and derived products such as raw and refined shea butter and refined edible oil based on oilseeds.This first phase of the industrial unit has a processing capacity of more than 300 tonnes of shea fines and oilseeds per day.Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, during the inauguration of the infrastructure this Monday, April 29, 2024, reaffirmed his vision to see all local products produced transformed in Burkina Faso for added value.Believing that Burkina Faso should not only import, the president intends to support all those who will embark on the tra nsformation of our products with a view to their export.Ibrahim Traoré urged agricultural producers to invest in the production of oilseed products such as sesame, peanuts and soybeans which will now find a market at the national level.For the Minister of Industrial Development, Trade, Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises, Serge PODA, the inauguration of this new industrial unit testifies to the capacity for resilience and the constant determination of economic operators despite the economic context and difficult security situation in the country.'Despite the existence of the necessary raw materials, Burkina Faso imports on average more than 31,000 tonnes of edible oil per year. It is the desire to contribute to import substitution efforts that ADIPROD INDUSTRIES SA launched the construction of the factory,' recalled the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Oumou DIALLO/TRAORE complex.According to her, the factory will also produce livestock and poultry feed for the benefit of breeders as well as s oap.Oumou DIALLO/TRAORE praised the commitment and will of the Head of State 'whose enlightened vision inspires the transformation of local products' for the benefit of the development of the national private sector.The representative of the sponsors, Idrissa NASSA, president of the National Council of Burkinabè Employers, welcomed the initiative of ADIPROD INDUSTRIES SA and urged economic operators in Burkina Faso to invest 'in the production and processing of local products to increase the creation of added value which contributes to lasting and shared prosperity'.Source: Burkina Information Agency
