The next meeting of CAMES ministers is scheduled for May 20 to 24, 2024 in Congo

Ouagadougou: The next session of ministers of the African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES) will be held from May 20 to 24, 2024 in the Republic of Congo, we learned.According to the Secretary General (SG) of CAMES, Professor Souleymane Konaté, the CAMES ministers will focus on the main axes of the institution from May 20 to 24, 2024 in Brazzaville, in the Republic of Congo.Professor Konaté, during his discussions with the Minister in charge of Higher Education, Professor Adjima Thiombiano, last Friday in Ouagadougou, declared that he had come to take stock of the preparations for this high-level meeting.'We came to seek advice from the minister regarding the organization of this crucial statutory activity for our common institution,' he maintained.The SG of CAMES said he was satisfied to have benefited from the advice of the first manager in charge of Higher Education to carry out this activity.Minister Adjima Thiombiano also expressed his availability to ensure the success of the e vent planned in the Republic of Congo.Created in 1968 in Niamey, CAMES aims, among other things, to promote consultation and coordination of Higher Education and research systems.It also advocates the harmonization of programs and recruitment levels in the different establishments of member countries.Source: Burkina Information Agency
