The Tansaob naaba of Boussé celebrated on May 11, 2024 in Boussé, the 2nd edition of its customary festival, called 'tansaob raaga', under the theme 'Culture and social cohesion in a context of insecurity: recourse to tradition for a world of peace'.Libation, procession through the city, artistic performances and archery competitions, constituted the menu of the 2nd edition of 'tansaob raaga', on May 11, 2024 in Boussé.Formerly commemorated only by the family circle of 'tansaoba', the market dedicated to the clan of Boussé warriors, has taken on the appearance of a great celebration over the years.According to a member of the clan, Issiaka Kinda, the objective of this annual celebration is to pay homage to the ancestors, to solicit their benevolence and their intercession with the creator for the safeguarding of peace in the community, health and a good winter campaign . .The event sponsored by Waogdg Razang Naaba Poulma, CEO of Poulma cellars, assisted by Moustapha Souili, economic operator, was also attended by customary and religious administrative authorities and nationals of Boussé residing outside.The chief of the Tansaoba clan paid tribute to the dignitaries of the Moaga community.He also greeted all the guarantors and all those who work for the conservation and promotion of tradition and customs in their diversity in Burkina Faso.VDP leader of the commune of Boussé, the tansaoba, invoked the manes of the ancestors so that they watch over the fighting forces on the ground in the fight against the terrorist hydra.Finally, he reaffirmed his support for the transitional government for the initiatives and efforts made to reconquer territorial integrity and restore national dignity.On behalf of the sponsors, Moustapha Souili, returned to the importance of the event.For him, this activity provides both the opportunity to magnify those who came before us and to encourage younger generations to draw inspiration from cultural values as a guide.Because, he said, to be able to face the future wit h confidence, you have to know where you come from.For the provincial director in charge of Culture in Kourwéogo, Drissa Sidibé, this cultural event is in line with the national policy of promoting ancestral values.He estimated that the development of the war arsenal of the moogo archers, namely the bow, arrow and assegai, contributes to better awareness of this part of the national heritage.Participants in the archery competition received encouragement from the authorities.The appointment is made for act 3 of 'tansaob raaga' in 2025.Source: Burkina Information Agency
