The Winyen community and blacksmiths from several localities in and around the province of Balé, celebrated Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in Boromo, the day of customs and traditions. Sacrifices on the sacred altar in sector 2 and a parade of blacksmiths through the city were the highlights.The customary and traditional chiefdom of the Winian district of Boromo and a delegation of blacksmiths from several municipalities in the province and surrounding areas marked the day of customs and traditions, this May 15, 2024 in Boromo.In the Winien district, the elders asked for peace, health, security and a good rainy season for all of Burkina Faso. Among the participants in the worship, several young people came to ask for well-being, prosperity, marriage and fertility.A delegation of blacksmiths from several municipalities in the province and neighboring regions also came to plead with the spirits of the ancestors for social cohesion, peace, forgiveness and reconciliation of hearts. For this purpose, they made a pa rade through the main arteries of the town of Boromo. They were dressed in sacred costumes and objects, equipped with objects of worship and work from the forge, barefoot, they traveled several kilometers through the arteries of the city professing sacred words to the sound of music. The delegation was received by the high commissioner of the province, Ibrahim Boly and a delegation of administrative, military and paramilitary authorities of the province and the commune.
