Ioba: A delegation led by the President of Faso's mission officer in the Southwest, Vinsint© Ci©lo Hien, met with the organizing committee of the Ioba provincial forum on presidential initiatives in Dano, on Saturday, March 15, 2025. This gathering aimed to assess the progress of preparations for the upcoming provincial forum.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the focal point, Constant Somda, reported that various committees within the organizing committee have been established. The President and CEO of ETOF M©tal-Dano, El Adj Amado Ou©draogo, has been identified as a volunteer sponsor for the event. The budget has been formulated, and contributions from the province's residents are anticipated.
Vinsint© Ci©lo Hien emphasized the importance of the provincial forums leading to a regional forum. "The forum consists of explaining to the population the various initiatives of the President of Faso, their content, and what is planned for the Southwest. We will also collect suggestions and proposals for endogenous development projects in order to forward them to each initiative coordinator for consideration," he explained.
According to the mission officer, several projects are in the pipeline, focusing on education, health, sports, and agriculture in the region. Projects include the construction of a 500-seat amphitheater at the Gaoua University Center, two municipal medical centers in Ou©ssa in Ioba and Djigou¨ in Poni, and a sports academy in Gaoua.
The delegation highlighted the indigenous aspect of the forum's organization, noting that funding is expected from local populations and the diaspora. "We hope for strong participation from the Ioba population at the Dano forum. We also expect good project proposals for sustainable indigenous development from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©," Vinsint© Ci©lo Hien concluded.
The mission is set to continue in Di©bougou, Bati©, and Gaoua to oversee preparations for additional provincial forums. The Ioba provincial forum on presidential initiatives is scheduled to take place on April 5 in Dano.
