Casablanca: The Burkina Faso Cadet Stallions had a workout in Casablanca on Monday, worthy of their XXL performance on Sunday against South Africa, reinvigorating themselves to face the young Chipolopols on Thursday in the quarter-finals of the U17 AFCON, AIB noted on site in the white city.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the day after the Cadet Stallions' great performance against the young South Africans (2-0), "the group feels good," reassured us the Burkinabe team's coach Oscar Barro. The team retreated to Bouznika, a suburb of Casablanca, to cool down after yesterday's exertion. "Those who played yesterday are regenerating, and those who didn't play have been working separately so as not to be out of step with the rest of the group," explains the Etalons Cadets' mentor.
Burkina Faso's U17s will face Zambia in the quarterfinals next Thursday. For coach Barro, "all the teams that have reached this level are formidable. We saw the Zambia match yesterday and we will prepare accordingly to reach this stage because it is another objective that begins." He stressed the importance of overcoming Zambia to achieve their ultimate goal, highlighting the team's dedication and hard work.
Captain Fadil Barro, who missed the game against South Africa due to a suspension, will make his return to the Burkinabe defense on Thursday. The status of injured players Mohamed Sako and Assifou Kon© remains uncertain. "The doctors will tell us if he's fit or not. He hasn't trained yet," explained coach Barro. Despite the injuries, coach Barro remains focused, stating, "If they come back, so much the better; if they don't, no one is held to the impossible."
