SONATUR Completes Renovation of Orodara High Commission Building

K©n©dougou: The National Urban Land Development Company (SONATUR) officially handed over the renovated infrastructure of the Orodara High Commission, alongside a donation of food to vulnerable people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was led by the Governor of the Hauts-Bassins region, Mariama KONAT‰/GNANOU, who represented the Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, SONATUR undertook comprehensive renovations of the High Commission building, which cost approximately 17 million CFA francs. The renovations included laying tiles, repainting cement plaster, refurbishing toilets, cupboards, and ceilings, as well as repairing electrical installations.

In his address, Brahima Coulibaly, representing the Orodara customary community, expressed gratitude towards SONATUR for its commitment to local development and offered blessings for its leaders. Emmanuel KONAT‰, president of the special delegation of the commune of Orodara, emphasized the importance of adequate working conditions for effective administration. He highlighted that the renovation will help the High Commission staff deliver better services to users and thanked SONATUR for its supportive role, viewing it as a symbol of productive cooperation.

SONATUR Director General Boureima OUATTARA stated that the institution's efforts extend beyond urban planning to address the real needs of its partners, including the provision of quality infrastructure. The renovation is aimed at creating a pleasant and secure working environment, as well as improving the experience for citizens. He noted that SONATUR's initiatives are driven by a vision of being a civic-minded and supportive organization focused on the country's development.

In addition to the renovation, SONATUR demonstrated its solidarity by donating 5 tonnes of food, including rice and corn, to vulnerable people, in a bid to alleviate their hardship. DG OUATTARA expressed hope that the donation would provide some relief to those in need.

Governor Mariama KONAT‰/GNANOU, speaking on behalf of the Minister of State, praised SONATUR for its numerous social responsibility efforts that benefit the western populations. She saw the rehabilitation as a tangible improvement in public services and encouraged other organizations to emulate such initiatives. She also called for unity and cooperation among the people of K©n©dougou to support the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAOR‰, and the government in reclaiming the national territory.

The event concluded with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony and a guided tour of the newly renovated facilities.
