VDPs from Tansila, Banwa province, targeted in a terrorist attack on Monday May 13, 2024, vigorously repelled the attackers, neutralizing 33 of them.It was around 5:30 pm yesterday Tuesday when these men who trampled on basic human rights, in 3 pick-up vehicles and motorcycles, opened fire on the VDP position.The valiant Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland who were well informed responded instantly and fiercely. In their vigorous response, they neutralized 33 terrorists and recovered equipment including a PKMS type machine gun, 3 motorcycles and 1 tricycle.In their flight, the terrorists fired indiscriminately on the defenseless population, causing 6 civilian victims and an injured child, according to security sources.
